Glue Baby Tiny Terra Series 23
a closer look at some of the Glue Babies from Tiny Terra Series 23
I feel like the new year truly begins in March. The Spring Equinox used to be celebrated as the new year for a long time, which makes sense, why start a new year in the middle of winter? For me, it just takes time to shake off the energy of the old year, but March is when everything finally feels firmly renewed. Hence, this bright and cheerful collection of Tiny Terra for Series 23.
Last year was the first time I used these miniature bunnies in my Tiny Terra. I wanted to bring them back and keep the annual tradition going. This is one of the rare times where I will bring a series back and change almost nothing; the first series was one I loved so much I wanted to keep it the same.
The pieces for March’s Tiny Terra Collector Club on my Patreon were also bunny themed. I always try to guess what design will be the most popular of the month and then make those for my Patrons. I’m often right! (Not always, lol, sometimes it’s hard to tell my personal favorites from what will be popular). Each of these bunnies got a delicious hard boiled egg and the cups they sit in are throwbacks to the 2024 pieces that weren’t used anywhere else this year.
Another series from last year that I wanted to revisit were the bunny leaf boats. I think these are perfect for people who like the bunnies but aren’t into Easter. I added some gems this year to give them a little extra sparkle, and I love how the flowers make the green pop and adds contrast.
I really fell in love with green this month and decided to make a version of the Fall “forest floor” pieces but for Spring. The pills have grass green glass beads in them but also little leaf shaped confetti pieces and larger bubbles that all float around freely. Green is such a hopeful color; I feel like that’s something we can all use more of right now.
I got these cream colored butterflies a while back and decided to combine them with my rainbow pearl pieces that I’m so fond of. The color on these pieces is really soft and subtle and each piece has a big drip coming off the butterfly’s wings. These pieces weren’t as popular as I thought they would be - selling last - but they were some of my favorites of the month.
One of my most-requested pieces for the month was this pink and blue style that I call the “undersea garden.” Like the butterflies, it wasn’t nearly as popular as I thought it would be, which surprised me because this was one of the pieces this month I would have kept for myself. I think these pieces all being on the larger size was part of what slowed people down a bit, so this month I’m making a lot of mid-range pieces rather than the larger ones.
